albert L. (punkt)

albert L. (punkt) was founded in 2006, selling the first edition of the bamboo product line that we manufacture in Vietnam. The idea evolved through a German-Vietnamese friendship between Nguyen Thi Than Mai and Sandra Schroeder.

The Bamboo Bowls and Servers are the largest offering. We also create Lacquered Trays and offer Ceramic Fish for Chopstick or Knife Rest or decoration.

Prior to processing our bamboo, it is soaked with water for several months. After drying, the bamboo pieces are split and then cut into strips and processed. They are bent into rings, flattened into discs, and formed into a bowl shape using a stone mold. The resulting raw product is filled with rice flour several times, primed with lacquer and carefully sanded.

Finally, the top-coat (matte or gloss) is applied, and the product goes through its final steps: over a dozen applications of lacquer and color.

Our products are food-safe and are perfect for salads, fruits, bread, pasta, pastries, sweets and much more. We test our product regularly with multiple international agencies for food-safety, using European standards; amongst the strictest in the world for food-safety.

Made to be used with food, including harsh foods like tomato paste, vinegar, vinaigrette, soups, cold foods, and everything else is perfect for our bowls.

For care, simply clean with warm water and mild dish detergent.

Our Bowls are available in two collections: Classic and Bima.

The Classic Line is the most popular. It is offered in 13 sizes and 3 Servers, 24 colors with a glossy finish.

The Bima Collection (more Urban) is offered in 5 sizes and 1 Server, 12 colors and a matte finish.
