Modern cardigans, wider ribs, and splashes of color in contrast stitches and seams are elevating the look of knits this coming season. Look for deep v-necks, wrap styles, and elevated knit accessories like scarves, gloves and bags that match sweater dresses.
Speaking of sweater dresses, the new take on this closet staple includes body-conscious construction, tucked waists, and flared sleeves. We’ll also see knit trousers, updated roll-neck sweaters, and cool sleeves on the newest sweaters.
Shop with your NEAC reps for the latest knits. From cotton to cashmere, you’ll find modern silhouettes and classic styles for knit apparel and accessories.
Tanks for Fall and Winter? Absolutely! The runways featured lots of white tank tops – with jeans, with skirts, with leather pants or super-tailored trousers. Tanks are a classic and the modern version features wide straps, cool knit fabrics, a deeper crew neck.
They pair beautifully with modern cardigans, and our next trend: leather jackets.
NEAC’s shows feature classic and updated takes on wardrobe staples like tanks. Shop our August show to see the look and learn how to style this basic for maximum impact in your boutique.
Top Gun is back, and so are bomber jackets. (And motorcycle jackets, too!) A great leather (or vegan leather) jackets says the wearer is strong, cool, and chic. Modern leather jackets have an edgy sensibility, capitalizing on runway looks featuring punk influences, biker aesthetics, 80s vibes, and early aughts silhouettes.
You’ll see many takes on the leather trend at the next New England Apparel Show. Contact your reps today to see how they can help your store to capitalize on this trend.
The thigh-high boot is back. The runways featured a range of over-the-knee boots – in classic black leather, in bright colors, and with both flat and high heels. The look this coming season is just over the knee and clean – more of a complement rather than the main point. What a great accessory to add to your store displays to help bring your customers’ looks together!
Our footwear reps will be showing the new over-the-knee silhouette, along with the wedges and platforms that make longer hemlines accessible to all. Shop footwear at the next NEAC Show so you can add the latest shoe looks to your accessory offerings.
The new silhouettes are long and lean. Extra-long tailored trousers, long skirts, and maxi dresses that are cut close to – but not too close – to the body result in a nice long line. The Fall/Winter 22/23 runways featured floor-sweeping looks that will translate into longer dresses, pants, and skirts in stores.
Shop over 500 different lines at the August New England Apparel Show and find the fashion-forward pieces that will be in-demand next season.
